Filling
ECOFASS filling equipment packs the wine into its liner before it joins a reusable keg, ready for service at the dispenser, from the winegrower to the counter.
Three solutions
One filling solution for every volume
Three solutions, from the hand-held gesture to the production line: manual filling with the filling head, semi-automatic filling with the inverter stand, and automatic filling with the optifût. What they share: the liner is filled upside down, and never takes in air.
Manual filling
The filling head guides the product straight into the keg's liner. It is the most direct solution: no frame, no setting up — connect and fill.
- ✓The product goes straight into the liner
- ✓Splashing and product loss kept down
- ✓Ideal to start with and for small runs
Semi-automatic filling
The inverter stand holds the keg upside down, stable and secure, for the whole fill. Scale and pump are available as options.
- ✓Keg held upside down, stable position
- ✓Scale and pump options
- ✓The step between the manual gesture and the automatic line
Automatic filling
For production volumes, filling moves to an automatic line. On request, we name the kegging-machine manufacturers compatible with Ecofass kegs.
- ✓Designed for production volumes
- ✓Compatible manufacturers named on request
- ✓Contact us for the right configuration
Please note: upside-down filling is mandatory. The keg is filled with a pump or directly from a pressurised tank.
Step by step
Filling in five steps.
The user manual's procedure, summarised step by step — the pressure and duration values are the manual's own, downloadable from the practical guides.
Purge the air from the liner
Apply 0.8 bar between the keg and the liner through the gas inlet, then open and close the liquid-side valve while keeping the counter-pressure.

Prepare the line
Connect the head to the disinfected pump — 2.5 bar maximum outlet pressure — and fill the hose until the air bubbles disappear.

Fill with the keg inverted
Filling must be done head down, keeping a constant counter-pressure of 0.8 bar through the air-side vent.

Watch for the end of filling
Allow 2 to 5 minutes. When the counter-pressure drops to 0 bar, close the inlet valve — the volume is checked by weighing the keg.

Finish and secure
Apply a counter-pressure of 2.5 bar, set the keg upright, rinse with water, disinfect the head and fit a tamper-evident cap.

Discover the filling technique
To ensure clean, precise and secure filling of the Ecofass keg, it is recommended to use the suitable filling head. This accessory guides the product directly into the keg's inner liner, while limiting splashing, product loss and unnecessary handling.
Using the inverter stand for filling
To make filling the Ecofass keg easier, it is recommended to use the tipper designed for this purpose. This equipment allows the keg to be positioned in a stable and secure way, making the opening easier to access and ensuring clean, controlled filling.
Removing the liner from the Ecofass keg
Once the Ecofass keg has been emptied, the inner liner can be removed simply, making sorting and waste management easier. This system allows the flexible liner to be separated from the outer container, contributing to cleaner, more practical and more responsible use.
